What is your potential for success?

Kingdom viewpoint is important in a believer’s life. Accurate discernment of God’s voice is important for this. God is building you as the strategic man. As the word comes in

  1. Evaluate yourself
  2. Align yourself

The word is alive and sharper than any double-edged sword. It comes to expose our innermost desires. Accurate evaluation of God’s judgment of where you are and immediate obedience to bring yourself to accurate alignment takes you to the next level.

Psalm 119:130 The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.

The problem of our generation is

– We hurry to get things done

– We are a lazy generation because of dependence on technology; we want everything fast. Working hard for something seems foreign to us

– God is not in a hurry. He is shaping each one of us as His masterpiece. He takes time to build

– Have the patience to wait for God to express what He wants to express through us

– Remember there is no shortcut in the Kingdom of God

What is the purpose of our salvation?

We are called the Ekklesia – The spiritual parliament of called-out people. We are called Kingdom people. Kingdom means a community that expresses Godly values and systems. Kingdom means a lifestyle. God stirs up different people for different things; different domains, different dimensions of God. We have the wisdom of God to solve every issue. It’s our father’s land. We are responsible to drive out the demonic influence that influences the system.

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus says the LORD, “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk-in it; And you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

There are spiritual boundaries set by God. The enemy has destroyed everything in the social fabric of the society; corrupted value systems, families, policies that destroy society, discrimination of people. We bring back all the value systems of god. This is our job.

5 things we can do

  1. We can pray
  2. We can be a voice
  3. We can involve and influence the domain
  4. We can create platforms. Alternate ideas and policies
  5. Business models, education models

Psalm 110:10 The LORD extends Your mighty scepter from Zion: “Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

Zion – is the church in maturity. Language is the frequency we speak with; kingdom frequency, the things we focus on

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,

We don’t focus on what happened in the past. What is God saying TODAY? Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart. Today is the day of salvation. So this is the Kingdom language. Even when we are praying we are not hoping it will happen. We pray from a position of victory as people of God. We pray with confidence. We pray, prophesy, and proclaim what God has already purposed knowing God’s plan never fails. In any issue, if there is doubt let’s not fake it until we make it. Instead, identify that anything that can be shaken will be shaken and turn to our helper – The Holy Spirit. As we talk to Him He will correct us where we need to be corrected so we are accurately built on the foundation of Christ. Then no amount of shaking can shake us. Finally, what cannot be shaken alone will remain.

No matter what our circumstances look like we take our viewpoint from the Kingdom, not from the world

David understood who God is. Caleb knew his God. Their focus and perception were right. Hence their language was right. All around them people were getting shaken by the giants. But David and Caleb were operating on a different frequency.

It all comes down to – Do we know God?

Daniel 11:32b the people who know their God will display strength and take action.

Acts 13:36 For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his generation, fell asleep, and was laid among his fathers and underwent decay;

David served God in his generation. We serve in our generation.

How do we know the demand for our generation?

  • What God is releasing today?
  • Holy Spirit conveys to us what the demand of God is
  • But the voice of experience, past, and intellect can jam the voice of the Holy Spirit. God is always doing new things. We cannot be stranded (Eg. Stuck to church activities alone. Only that is holy, rest is unholy work. The truth is the church is the training ground to learn God’s word and GO OUT and apply it in the world. Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work I have kept for them. What is the work you are set apart by the Holy Spirit for?)

One of the major definitions we need to understand in this generation is – WHAT IS SUCCESS?

Success is not big cars, big bungalows, and lengthy degrees, “set for life”. We are not called to settle. We are called to move forward deeper into God. As we seek first the Kingdom of God ALL things will be added to us. We need not pursue them, they pursue us.

Success in life (in this world) and whether we are successful (in God’s sight) are two different things. Success means the completion of aim or purpose

God intends us to succeed in all that we do.

What are we chasing? What are we running towards? We are called to pursue God passionately.

We are called to become like the Son of God. Christlikeness is our aim, ambition, and goal. This is what we are running towards.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

Genesis 39:2 The LORD was with Joseph, so he became a successful man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.

The secret to success in Christian life is – knowing God, walking in obedience to the Word, and obedience to the Holy Spirit.

David was a picture of success in his generation although externally he underwent many difficulties and setbacks. His success was his constant pursuit of God. He had a passion for God and that fueled his commitment to the purposes of God.

Matthew 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect

We are called to be perfect. What is perfection?

Perfection does not imply sinless perfection.

As long as we are in flesh, the temptation exists. It is a life-long battle. But as we move forward we become stronger in our fight with our struggles.

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.

Perfection is not perfectionism.

Pharisees were religious, finding faults, and always placing unrealistic demands. This is the pursuit of perfectionism. In the end, it produces a frustrated, defeated Christian whose end is hell. Our righteousness has to surpass that of the Pharisees. That is our walk should be righteous (led by the Holy Spirit) not just our speech.

Perfect means being complete.

Matthew 5:43-47 You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and ‘Hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same?

Unless the Holy Spirit leads you, you cannot love your enemies. It is painful and difficult but it is possible. It all depends on who is leading you. In this regard, our un-dealt emotions can jam the Holy Spirit. God desires to heal us and set us free to be wholesome.

The first man Adam was perfect in all sense. He was created in the image of God. Perfect in emotions, thoughts, behavior, attitude, etc., Jesus had no emotional baggage. Jesus knew from the very beginning that Judas was going to betray Him. Yet He loved Judas, treated him equal to all apostles, and even washed his feet.

John 14:30 I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me;

God wants us to be free from all that the enemy can use in us. God so loved the world (which includes our enemies), not just Christians. So our emotions have to be dealt with so we give room for the Holy Spirit to move through us.

Perfect in Christ

Colossians 1:28,29 We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I also labor, striving with all His energy working powerfully within me.

Perfect in this context means – Mature. It also means – finished, brought to completion. All that God wants to be done in our life has been brought to an end. It is finished.

John 19:30 Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

How do we measure if we are moving in this direction?

James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Are we developing these qualities in increasing measure – being steadfast, unshakeable, patient, immovable, and enduring?

Perfect in love

1 John 2:5,6 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this, we know that we are in Him. 6He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

What is our commitment to obey His word? When we continually keep His commands then we are perfect. As we grow perfect in God’s love we see an increase in love for His word, increase in love for His presence, increase in love for His people

Perfect in Holiness

2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Fear of God keeps us from sinning. Our spirit can be contaminated by the eye window, ear window, those we hear, and those we relate to. Our bodies can be contaminated by sexual sin.

Perfect in devotion

Mark 10:17-23 As Jesus started on His way, a man ran up and knelt before Him. “Good Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18“Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone. 19You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, do not cheat others, honor your father and mother.’ 20“Teacher,” he replied, “all these I have kept from my youth.” Jesus looked at him, loved him, and said to him, “There is one thing you lack: Go, sell everything you own and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me. 22But the man was saddened by these words and went away in sorrow because he had great wealth. Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

Devotion means being devoted to God. We cannot serve two masters. As long as we love money we would hate following God. Money is not the only idol that can take the place of God. Any addiction is idolatry. The way we evaluate our devotion is – What takes our time, energy, affection, and attention? If that kind of devotion is not channeled to God then other idols take over our hearts.

Perfect in righteousness

Ezekiel 14:13, 14 Son of man, if a land sins against Me by acting unfaithfully, and I stretch out My hand against it to cut off its supply of food, to send famine upon it, and to cut off from it both man and beast, 14then even if these three men—Noah, Daniel, and Job—were in it, their righteousness could deliver only themselves, declares the Lord GOD.

These 3 men that God mentioned as examples of righteousness were men of walked blameless before God. Blameless means that no one can blame us.

5 forms of walking blamelessly

Walk in love

Ephesians 5:2 and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

1 John 4:12 No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.

John 13:34, 35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35“By this, all men will know that you are My disciples if you have a love for one another.”

1 John 3:16 We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Laying down your life does not mean to die, literally but the ability to forgive, overlook, and put the needs of someone else first.

1 Peter 4:8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another because love covers a multitude of sins.

How do we relate to others? Wherever there are people someone will say something stupid. Love overlooks that. Put the relationship above the offense. Have the capacity to forgive and move on.

Job 42:8-11 So now, take seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. Then My servant Job will pray for you, for I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken accurately about Me, as My servant Job has.”

9So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went and did After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his prosperity and doubled his former possessions. 11All his brothers and sisters and prior acquaintances came and dined with him in his house. They consoled him and comforted him over all the adversity that the LORD had brought upon him. And each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring. as the LORD had told them; and the LORD accepted Job’s request.

Walk in Light

Walking in the light is to live a life mindful of God; live a consecrated life and be set apart for God.

Ephesians 5:15-17 Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16redeeming the time because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Genesis 6:5-9 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great upon the earth and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was altogether evil all the time. 6And the LORD regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7So the LORD said, “I will blot out man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—every man and beast and crawling creature and bird of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them.” 8Noah, however, found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

9This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with God.

Make the best use of your time during these evil days. Live like Noah did, One commandment he worked out for 120 years.

Walk in Wisdom

In any situation what is God’s desire? Be a good steward of your time and life. Some culture is time-oriented. Some cultures are event-oriented. Being Kingdom-oriented is to be alert to the Kairos time of God. The activity we are involved in – is it moving towards what God is doing in our lives? Is it adding value to God’s purposes? Are we living our lives as a pattern? If we evaluate this way and plan we shall be more productive and effective.

Don’t start the day without knowing what to do with the day. God is a planner. He plans to prosper you and not harm you.

Walk in Truth

3 John 1:3,4 For I was overjoyed when the brothers came and testified about your devotion to the truth, in which you continue to walk. 4I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Ephesians 4:25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one another.

Psalm 51:6 Surely You desire truth in the inmost being;

You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.

Let the truth be found in your innermost being. Remove every falsehood in us.

1 John 4:6.7 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. That is how we know the Spiritof truth and the spirit of deception.

Be sensitive to the spirit of truth then you can overcome the spirit of deception. Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. Ask Him to show you the whole picture. In any complex situation, He will show how to react, respond, and speak.

Daniel 2:14-16 When Arioch, the commander of the king’s guard, had gone out to execute the wise men of Babylon, Daniel replied with discretion and tact15“Why is the decree from the king so harsh?” he asked.

At this time Arioch explained the situation to Daniel. 16So Daniel went in and asked the king to give him some time so that he could give him the interpretation.

Walk in step with the Holy Spirit

Galatians 5:16-18,25 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.

Be God Conscious. Walk in step with the Holy Spirit. This requires discipline. You have to be alert and sober to the instructions coming in from God. Otherwise, you will make decisions based on the flesh (Dust. And remember the devil is authorized to eat dust).

As you interact with the Holy Spirit He births in you a passion for Christ. This passion creates a hunger for God’s presence and His closeness.

Psalm 63:1 O God, You are my God.

Earnestly I seek You;

my soul thirsts for You.

My body yearns for You

in a dry and weary land without water.

Victorious exploits against the enemy are done by people who know their God.

What is your potential for success?

Matthew 13:8 Still other seed fell on good soil and produced a crop—a hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.

The potential of the Word coming to us is 100 fold. The potential of the heart to bring all the Word to fulfillment is determined by what is in the heart.

Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

In the parable of the sower,

A heart that’s like a path – When the Word comes in, we are so distracted and don’t seek understanding, then the devil snatches that seed making us produce no yield.

A heart that is like a rocky ground – No worship means no rain. A heart that is not soaked up in worship seldom can retain the Word through times of testing

Ephesians 5:18-20 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. 19Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord, 20always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A heart that’s like a thorny ground – Thorns suck up water from the ground. All the issues that we mull over in our heart, that are like leaks in our cistern, are our thorns. These are un-dealt issues in our heart, could be the past, unforgiveness, worry about future, speculations, arrogance, selfish ambitions, etc.,

We are not alone in dealing with all this. We have a helper – The Holy Spirit. As we draw near to Him (near as in express our heart to Him as we would to a best friend), He will draw close to us. He can turn our hearts into good ground.

Isaiah 43:18, 19 Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old. Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

A heart that is like a good ground

Call to maturity

Hebrews 6:7,8 For land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is tended receives the blessing of God. 8But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless, and its curse is imminent. In the end, it will be burned.

James 1:21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly receive the word planted in you, which can save your souls.

1 Thessalonians 2: 13 And we continually thank God because, when you received the word of God that you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as the true word of God—the word which is now at work in you who believe.

The Word of God works in those who believe. Understand the urgency of the time. We are in the last of last days

Call to endure

2 Timothy 3:1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

Matthew 24:12 Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.

Hebrews 12:3 Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Romans 12:11 Do not let your zeal subside; keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

Hebrews 12:7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?

Only tough people will last this tough battle. Pressure and demand are going to be intense. Are you willing to pay the price?

Call to pray at all times

Luke 18:8 And the Lord said, “Listen to the words of the unjust judge. 7Will, not God bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He continue to defer their help? 8I tell you, He will promptly carry out justice on their behalf. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

We are called to pray without ceasing.

Modus Operandi of God to bring us to 100 fold

Take the life of Joseph. God took him through many trials until he became yielded to God. God’s desire is for us to be successful, produce a 100 fold, full of God. He takes us through the unfavorable environment to make us and raise us as the head and not the tail. He takes us from obscurity and sets us up for high visibility, maximum impact.

Everyone who was used mightily by God HELD ONTO THE WORD that God spoke to them. Eg. Noah, Joseph, Hannah, Abraham, Mary

Philippians 2:16 Hold firmly to the Word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.

What happens when you hold firmly to the Word God has spoken to you?

Genesis 26:1-5 Now there was another famine in the land, after the one that had occurred in Abraham’s time. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines at Gerar. The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt. Settle in the land where I tell you. 3Stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you. I will give all these lands to you and your offspring, and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham. 4I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give them all these lands, and through your offspring, all nations of the earth will be blessed, 5because Abraham listened to My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.”

Genesis 26:12-14,16 Now Isaac sowed seed in the land, and that very year he reaped a hundredfold. And the LORD blessed him, 13and he became richer and richer until he was exceedingly wealthy. 14He owned so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him. 16Then Abimelech said to Isaac, “Depart from us, for you are much too powerful for us.”

When you hold onto God’s word

– Supernatural results will be visible in your life

– 100 fold growth in health, wealth, all your potential

– Your influence will grow. From nobody to ‘too powerful’

– You will prosper in all the dimensions that God has put in your life (not just Prayer, Healing, and Deliverance)

– Everyone will see that God is with you

Genesis 26:22 He moved on from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. He named it Rehoboth and said, “At last the LORD has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.”

Rehoboth – All struggles came to an end.

100 fold is our destiny. We are ambassadors of God. We represent the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever is spoken in Heaven we hold onto it, prophesy, proclaim, and pray until it is “done on earth as it is in Heaven.”

How can we not have favor? How can we fail to produce 100%?

Colossians 2:6-10 Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him, 7rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. 8See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. 9For in Christ, all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form. 10And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

We are the finishing generation. We are built to do greater works, supernatural and extraordinary works. The latter glory of the temple will be greater than the former. The best wine is kept for the last.

It is now time to extend and expand God’s kingdom. Position of stature and favor of God will bring in extension and expansion.

You are the workmanship of the Holy Spirit. Don’t worry about what you can do for God. Instead, humbly accept the word that comes to you and Be Still and watch what God can do through you.

As long as we do our part God will do the rest. We are designed to bring victory. Wherever we are, we are the set people; the strategic people set at strategic places to bring strategic results for kingdom advancement. We carry God’s wisdom and authority and His name backs up all that He has spoken into our lives. How can we fail?
