Sermon by Ps. Alex

The best is yet to come. 2021 is a turning point for many. The Holy Ghost will invade you. The presence of God will invade you.
Some in the church are worried about – What is the mark of the beast? How to recognize? How to avoid it?
This should not be our focus.
Our focus should be on
- Being prepared to meet the Lord Jesus; not wondering when the end will come
- Internal preparation.
Now as to the periods and times, brothers and sisters, you have no need of anything to be written to you. 2For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord is coming just like a thief in the night. 3While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction will come upon them like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, so that the day would overtake you like a thief; 5for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; 6so then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-6
Staying alert and sober is the only strategy that will work. As long as we are connected and sharp in the spirit God will reveal the overcoming strategy ahead of time. God will show us the supernatural way to overcome anything we have to face. Food, shelter, any requirement will be provided by Him. He is our Father.
Your focus should be on your assignment. We have to give an account to our Lord Jesus of how we lived our life. What are you doing with your ten/five/one talent(s)? Focus on that. You focus on your responsibility and remain at peace. Your safety and provision is His responsibility.
From now on there would be two ways moving in opposite directions. One is the world’s way – it will keep getting worse and worse. The other is God’s way which would be moving us from strength to strength and glory to glory.
“Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
2“For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the LORD will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
3“Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
When the world will be going into deeper darkness we will be the light. God is preparing us now.
Isaiah 60: 1-3
If we are not built internally we cannot receive and obey the Word. When a difficult situation arises we will be shaken because what we see will contradict the Word.
So focus on strengthening the inner man and finishing your assignment.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
God knows you inside out. He knows how to move you from weakness to strength. Listen to Him, step by step. God never gives up on any one of us. The safest place to be is in the center of God’s will.
This is a Year of Happenings. All that God has spoken to you will be fulfilled. There will be a transition from natural to supernatural, ordinary to extraordinary, and impossible to possible. Fully utilize the grace to accelerate that is available in this season.
The key focus of all this is to manifest Christ so humbly accept the Word that is coming to you.
For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of mere men, but as what it really is, the word of God, which also is at work in you who believe.
1 Thessalonians 2:13
Belief is the catalyst for the Word to work. If God has spoken to you, take that Word and hold on to it until it comes to pass.
INDEED I WILL GREATLY BLESS YOU AND I WILL GREATLY MULTIPLY YOU.” 15And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise.
Hebrews 6:14,15
Patiently endure things that come our way until the promise is fulfilled. Respond right to the Word. That is material to build.
God sends the word. How do you respond to it? How do you make it part of your life? How do you build? Consistently engage the word. Don’t let it die. Keep speaking proclaiming and praying about it.
In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the LORD to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years. 3So I gave my attention to the Lord God, to seek Him by prayer and pleading, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.
Daniel 9:2,3
Take the word and push it in prayer. Recreate the atmosphere by sowing the word. As we sow the word of god by proclaiming in the spirit it will take root and grow.
So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11
The word carries the potential to turn things right side up. We must engage it until the word comes to pass. Don’t get diverted and give up. Don’t get distracted from the word. Engage it. There is no expiry date on God’s promises. Look for all the promises that have not been fulfilled and start praying, prophesying and proclaiming. Another way to nurture the word is to break it down step by step. Revelation should lead to understanding which leads to wisdom to execute.
Remember the word to Your servant, In which You have made me hope. This is my comfort in my misery, That Your word has revived me.
Psalm 119: 49,50
He prepared a predetermined path for us to follow. God will give progressive revelation of where we should be.
Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My plan will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;
God knows the beginning from the end. As soon as we are connected to God we get locked onto destiny. God knows how to keep us there. He will sometimes give a slap or a pinch or an encounter or people to keep you there. James says, to count it all joy when we face different kinds of trials because it’s promotion time. God knows how to release the provisions as and when needed in the journey. We will know how to subdue our enemy and keep going.
Even if we mess things up he works all those for our good. Abraham played God to produce Ishmael through Hagar. Then God came back to him. The moment he repented, his starting point was where he left off. What God has purposed He will bring it to pass.
God has already written the story of this world. Our job is to stay connected and stay there. “My sheep will hear my voice.” Nothing will change what is written. When you hear from God be ready to obey.
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work among you will complete it by the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1: 6
Be focused on your assignment. Not every door that opens is from God. Be still when sometimes you are confused. Every day of your life is already written by God. The promise given by God is to show you where you need to be in your journey.
1st Posture – Have an attitude of consecration
Live for His purpose. Be set apart for God.
Romans 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
When we move from one Level in Christ to another there will be a time of consecration. In the Old Testament, a period of consecration was for cleansing. It was a new season for them.
Joshua 3: 5 Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do miracles among you.”
Your posture should be – “Lord, if this is what you want in my life I am ready to set myself apart to fulfill your word.” No more shortcuts or diversions. Every year our commitment level must increase towards God. Awareness must be about what we are doing and where we are going.
Consecration means to set our schedule to honor him. What room are you making for increased prayer? What room are you making for increase time in his presence? Build your foundation else what you build on top will collapse. Every small step we take for our spiritual development contributes to our overall development.
Discern and discover destiny partners, divinely appointed by God to walk with you. Walking with the wrong people leads to the wrong destination. Discern, discover, ask God, collaborate, and walk with people who are part of the destiny.
2nd Posture – I will obey at all cost
Genesis 26: 12 Now Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundred times as much. And the LORD blessed him,
What was the root cause of this? The fruit was due to his obedience to the word. Unquestioning obedience took an unknown man and brought him to high visibility, maximum impact. So the posture we adopt is – I will obey at all cost. There is a reason why God puts you through certain things. Your obedience is going to bless your area of influence and bring the invasion of God and Holy Spirit into that place, change the atmosphere, change lives of those you come in contact with – you will see God’s Great Work in your life.
Move to the next level of obedience. He will accelerate what you are doing. God has been watching our lives for the last few months. If you are faithfully working out your life you will see a lot of “suddenlies”. Bill Hamon – father of all prophets has said this – Blessed are those who have been preparing last year. You will see great things this year because God was preparing you during that time.
Take this posture – no matter what God says, I will obey.
Remember this is the finishing generation. Our standard is higher because we are the final push; the Unstoppable generation.
3rd posture to adopt – absolute surrender
1 Kings 20: 1-4 Now Ben-hadad, king of Aram, gathered all his army, and there were thirty-two kings with him, and horses and chariots. And he went up and besieged Samaria, and fought against it. 2Then he sent messengers to the city to Ahab, king of Israel, and said to him, “This is what Ben-hadad says: 3‘Your silver and your gold are mine; your most beautiful wives and children are also mine.’” 4And the king of Israel replied, “As you say, my lord, O king; I am yours, as well as all that I have.”
This is a picture of Ahab surrendering to Ben Hadad. But it is a beautiful picture of what absolute surrender to the Lord means. I’m yours and all that I have – This means true stewardship. No more excuses or substitutes. From now on it is – “Speak Lord. I will obey.”
Meditate on – I belong to you and everything I own. Giving top priority to God is how we use our resources. Absolute surrender is not giving up. It is giving in to Him to do what God wants you to do and letting God do what He wants to do.
The highest calling of man is to conform to the image of Lord Jesus. Consecration, obedience, absolute surrender – these are all different stages. We don’t become all this in one day. It depends on maturity and relationship.
This is how you evaluate your maturity level – Am I struggling to obey in the same areas? If so, now I choose to surrender completely to the will of God in that area. Growth is intentional.
4th Posture – being bold and open to new things and opportunities
Don’t be stuck to your routine.
Isaiah 43: 18, 19 Do not call to mind the former things,
Or consider things of the past.
19“Behold, I am going to do something new,
Now it will spring up;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.
You can’t pour new wine into old wineskins. The same method gives the same results. God says there will be rivers in the desert. Impossible things! Suddenlies!
Isaiah 48:3 I declared the former things long ago, And they went out of My mouth, and I proclaimed them. Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.
When “suddenlies” begin to happen. Seize the opportunities. Be alert and prepare for what is happening. Remove all inflexibilities, traditional thinking, etc which can hinder your work. Your preference should not prevent you from doing what God wants you to do.
Have this attitude – I am a portal of heaven. I am a gateway to heaven. Anything can happen when I go there. Position yourself this way for God’s happenings. Be proactive. God said – “Go. Make disciples.” We are going to take back families street by street, city by city. We are the portal of God. The presence of God will tilt the scales. Stick to the ground until you have it.
Keep creating platforms for God to manifest. We are the eyes, hands, and mouth of God. Don’t worry about people’s reactions. The enemy knows the time is up so he will try to create trouble.
There will be two types of people – one that intimidates you and the other that provokes you. Operate with compassion, love, and patience towards them. Stand your ground. You carry the victory flag. Push forward.
Hebrews 6:15 And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise.
By patience, we inherit the promises. Be bold and open. God is doing a new thing. Your story is already written. All promises are markers in your journey. Be clear about the decisions you make. Let them move you closer to what God has spoken.
Best ways to grow – Be honest with yourself and be honest with God.
What are the Promises of God leading towards?
Isaiah 61:3 To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The cloak of praise instead of a disheartened spirit.
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.
The work of the Holy Spirit is to produce a generation that is called the planting of God. Faceless, nameless believers doing great exploits for God. Deal with our fascination with titles once and for all and finish it.
Bishop Hamon calls it the days of the saints. This is the Final Outpouring.
Do you want to be the planting of the Lord? Keep sowing, keep building and keep pruning.
Isaiah 60:1-3 “Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
2“For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the LORD will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
3“Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
An increase in stature gives you an increase in authority. Supernatural favor. Power to influence nations. God will give us unhindered sight. Hindsight, insight, foresight. Wisdom, revelation, and understanding.
We will be a hub of divine activity. In the last days, people will come to the mountain of the Lord and ask us what to do. We will rise up a new generation to do God’s work – Creating wealth, distributing economy, monopolizing the wealth of the Nations.
Isaiah 59:19 So they will fear the name of the LORD from the west And His glory from the rising of the sun, For He will come like a rushing stream Which the wind of the LORD drives.
When the enemy comes like a flood the Lord will rise upon a standard. God’s power will manifest through the church to influence the Nations. This is the picture of Zion; operating at the supernatural level.
We will walk into Isaiah 60 sooner or later. God is preparing us to move into all that is spoken about us.
Characteristics of this unstoppable generation
- A new position of stature
- Governmental grace
- Grace to impact and influence nations
- Hub of divine activity
He is going to move the church with wealth until the church will influence economical conditions. These are the hallmark of a church that the Lord has planted as per Isaiah 60. This is the pathway God has prepared for His saints. Our focus should be the path which God has prepared for us.
This is a defining season. Don’t let it pass you by. A lot of things are accelerated by the enemy but God is always 10 steps ahead of the him. We have a great future. We will subdue and overcome the works of the enemy.
The Church will finish its assignment.
Now is the time to renew your commitment to God. We will see the difference between the righteous and unrighteous even in the church. This season is all about spiritual growth and manifesting Christ’s life. Coming days will expose the quality of our building.
Remove the stumbling blocks. Hunger and thirst for His presence. “If I only touch the hem of his garment.” Fall in love with Jesus again. We have one lover, one hero – Jesus Christ.
Our identity is
- We are lovers of God
- We are a fearless breed
- We are Prayer Warriors
- Signs and wonders will be our portion
- We are the finishing generation
- We are the unstoppable generation
